After 6 months of implementation, on 3rd Dec 2011, British Standards Institution (BSI) awarded Occupational Health and Safety

Management System OHSAS 18001:2007 and Environmental Management System ISO14001:2004 after two strict assessments.

To be awarded these Certificates, since the early of 2011, Hoa Binh started building and implementing these activities in its sites with such goals as ensuring and improving employees’ safety, health during working, ensuring that construction activities will not give any impacts on surrounding areas, minimizing natural resources loss. Therefore, Hoa Binh improved its working procedures (hazards identification, risks assessment, hazardous materials management, waste management) to meet strict international requirements, invest on environmental equipment, improve labor protection equipment.

At the Ceremony, Mr. Le Duyen Anh, BSi Vietnam CEO said: “Presently, environment, safety issues in construction attract attention of authorities and construction companies. However, it’s hard for companies to perform. Receiving these certificates has clearly proved Hoa Binh Board of Management’s efforts in demonstrating the corporate responsibility to employees in particular and to community in general”. It is said that Hoa Binh is amongst one of the few enterprises that have been awarded these two international certificates.
